Cost/Benefit Analysis of Bullying Prevention
March 21, 2013
Presented by Shiryl Barto, Consultant, Windber Research Institute, Windber, Pa.
This webinar will discuss The Cost Benefit of Bullying Prevention: A First-Time Look at Savings, a report prepared by the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at the Windber Research Institute, an outgrowth of the Highmark Foundation’s ongoing bullying prevention initiative. The report looks at the financial impact that could be anticipated based on the expansion of the Foundation-funded implementation of the evidence-based OBPP over a three-year period and in the 49 Pennsylvania counties it serves. It meets a specific need for investigation into the cost benefits of investing in bullying prevention programs.
