Introduction to the PA Bullying Prevention Toolkit

This online session was originally held on January 19, 2012 as part of the Center for Safe Schools 2011-2012 Third Thursday Series.

This Center for Safe Schools 2011-2012 Third Thursday Series event, supported with funding from the Highmark Foundation, provided an overview of the contents and uses of the newly published Pennsylvania Bullying Prevention Toolkit. The toolkit was developed by the Center for Safe Schools, through funding provided by the Highmark Foundation, to provide information and resources to family members and others who are in a position to assist children affected by bullying.

This online session is part of the Center for Safe Schools' Third Thursday professional development series. The Highmark Foundation has provided funding for the 2011-12 Third Thursday series, which focuses on issues related to bullying.

Dr. Stacie Molnar-Main of the Center for Safe Schools will facilitate the session.

The session reviewed:

  • The history and goals of the Pennsylvania Bullying Prevention Toolkit
  • The structure and contents of the toolkit
  • Recommended resources
  • Suggested uses of the toolkit

Following a 45-minute presentation, participants will have the opportunity to pose general questions to toolkit contributors and make suggestions for future resources. Each participant will receive an electronic copy of the toolkit, along with information about how to access the services of a Pennsylvania bullying prevention consultant.
